                    Gun-control restrictions

Recently in my class we’ve been studying nonfiction. We read an article from Up Front. Our assignment is to answer the question, “Does the U.S need tighter gun-control restrictions.” Why or why not?

I think that before the article that the United States did not need to have a stronger law on gun-control. After I read this article I think that gun-control in the United States should have a stronger law. I think that if the U.S has a stronger law that they will be less killing in the U.S.

For example, on January 8, Jared shot a congresswoman in her head. He wound up killing 6 people and wounding 13. After reading the article I believe that gun control laws are too week! I think that after restricting the law on gun-control it would remain the same.

They’re 31,224 people who died in the U.S. from gun violence in 2007. They’re 65% of high school students who actually support stricter laws covering the sale of guns. They’re also 89 numbers of guns in the U.S. for every 100 people. Also 47% of all Americans who say gun-control laws should be stricter.
